Frequently Asked Questions

  • Integrative psychology and healthcare includes the affective, cognitive, behavioural, and psychological aspects of human behaviour, including social, developmental, and cultural influences. The goal of integrative psychology and healthcare is to combine different therapeutic tools and approaches to fit the needs of the individual client. An integrative therapist modifies standard treatments to fill in development gaps that affect each client in different ways. By combining elements drawn from different schools of theory and research, integrative therapy becomes a more flexible and inclusive approach to treatment than more traditional, singular forms of therapy.

  • Yes. Currently, all services are being offered only online through a videoconferencing platform or through the telephone.

  • Yes, we do. Please check the Mandated Counselling tab under services for more information on specific programs and individualized mandated counselling.

  • The answer to this question will be different for everyone. Every individual has different needs, goals, and circumstances in their life. You and your therapist can work together to best meet your needs.

  • The fee for sessions is dependent on the service provider’s professional designation, experience, expertise, and province of service provision. Please check the Fees tab for detailed information. Please contact us for specific information.

  • You can pay via e-transfer (preferred), cash or credit card. Please pay at the end of your sessions for in-person sessions. For online or telephone sessions, please pay before the start of the session.

    Please note that an additional processing fee of $5.50+GST will be charged for credit card payments only.

  • We have a limited number of spots for clients with diverse financial situations requiring a sliding scale. For more information, please contact us.

    Note: At this present time, we do not have any additional spots for sliding fee clients. We will update this section once we have availability for sliding fee clients again. Thank you for understanding.

  • Unfortunately, at this time, we do not offer direct billing. However, all of our psychologists are covered by most major insurance plans so you can submit your receipts for reimbursement after you have paid for sessions. Please check with your insurance provider for coverage before attending sessions to confirm your coverage, as different employers may have different parameters around coverage

  • We have a 48-hour cancellation policy. If you miss or cancel an appointment with less than a 48-hour notice, you will be charged for the full session. Payments for missed or cancelled sessions are to be made before the beginning of your next session.

    Please be informed that insurance providers do not usually pay for missed or cancelled appointments.
